Platypus Farm

You have seen many of these type of envisioning demonstrations. A very glossy, high production value view of the way things might work in the near future.

This one by microsoft, “explores how we will create and share content; collaborate across teams, organizations and networks; and gain contextually relevant insights based on preferences and intent.”

A tall order, but they do a great job. Lots of nice ideas, from interactive surfaces everywhere to classrooms being tied together across the world through an entire wall window– sorry couldn’t help myself!

Specially like the lego-like versatility of some objects shown, changing function according to how they’re used (2:14 apx.).

Love the vision. But hate the fact that microsoft can’t fix windows. Maybe they could just start over? Not like vista starting over, more like a small company starting over…

It’s a great production either way. enjoy.
